Met Eireann has issued an urgent nationwide weather warning ahead of miserable weather conditions shortly before Christmas.
The warning will be in effect until 8pm tomorrow, Thursday.
According to the national forecaster, most areas around the country will experience very strong winds throughout the day, reaching gale force around the coast.
