Met Eireann issues urgent Orange warning for high temperatures affecting six counties




Met Eireann has just issued an urgent Orange warning for high temperatures affecting six counties.

The warning, which affects counties Cavan, Monaghan, south Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford, and Westmeath, kicked off at 2pm and will remain in place until 9am on Friday.

The national forecaster says that temperatures will exceed 30C during the day, and remain at around 20C during the night.
