Met Eireann has issued an urgent thunderstorm warning for four counties.
The warning, which covers counties Kilkenny, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford, will be in place until 9pm.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties might experience what the agency calls ‘intense’ lightning strikes and heavy rain.
