Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for five counties due to rapidly deteriorating weather conditions.
The warning, which affects counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo will kick in at 8am on Wednesday and remain in place until 1pm.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience very strong winds, which may cause hazardous traveling conditions.
