Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for several counties amidst rapidly deteriorating conditions.
The warning, which covers the entirety of Connacht plus counties Cavan and Monaghan, will kick in at 2am on Thursday morning and remain in place until 6pm.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will see sleet and snow, potentially causing hazardous traveling conditions.
