Met Eireann warns of very unsettled weather conditions over the next few days, with plenty rain and strong winds in store.
According to the national forecaster, today, Monday, will be a bright and relatively dry day. A band of heavy rain will move in from the southwest overnight though, leading into a wet and windy Tuesday morning. There is also the possibility of thunderstorms at times.
Wednesday is expected to be equally wet, with drier but much colder conditions developing towards evening. Temperatures are expected to sink to -2C or -3C during the night.
