
The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has confirmed that proposed cuts to disability services have been scrapped.
Speaking in the Dail the Taoiseach confirmed that proposed cuts of €20m were shelved following a meeting.
The news comes after Fianna Fail previously called for such proposals to be scrapped before entering the new Government.
Martin also revealed that vital services for people with disabilities will be gradually reopened from next month.
Although he did reiterate that the Government is currently awaiting on concrete proposals as to how services will reopen safely.
