Micheal Martin only got elected in February on count SIX but now is Taoiseach of Ireland

There’s be absolute uproar on social media over the past couple of days since the election of Micheal Martin to the office of Taoiseach.

The Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin was only elected on count SIX, yes, count SIX less than 4 months ago in February.

Admittedly it’s been a bizarre couple of months but that’s irrelevant to the fact that Martin’s own people down in the people’s republic of Cork couldn’t even be bothered electing him on the first count.

Now, whether you like it or not, you’re getting him as Taoiseach.

Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Green Party have agreed a deal on a government, after their parties’ membership voted in favour, seeing Micheal Martin as Taoiseach until December 2022.

Whether you voted for them or not, Martin is the new Taoiseach, at least for now.

Is this the government that you voted for?
