Minister for Education Norma Foley says current guidelines doesn’t recommend primary school children using face masks




The Minister for Education Norma Foley has said that current guidelines doesn’t recommend that students in primary schools need to wear face masks.

Speaking to RTE, Foley said public health advice doesn’t recommend the use of masks by children in primary schools but they can choose to wear one of they wish to do so.

Foley also said that although current guidelines doesn’t recommend the use masks amongst primary school children, the Department of Education would implement such measures if they were recommended by public health officials.
