John Delaney is reportedly ready to stand down from the FAI.
According to RTÉ News, Delaney who has yet to officially resign, apparently told friends that he is ready to walk away from the FAI board.
Speculation surrounding the future of Mr Delaney comes after he and fellow board members appeared before an Oireachtas sports Committee earlier this week to discuss the handling of finances at the national soccer organisation.
RTÉ News say Mr Delaney has apparently made his decision after a number of board members have decided not to support him in his current position.
However the FAI have yet to make a formal announcement in regards to Mr Delaney’s future despite meeting in Abbotstown earlier today.
