Mixed reactions to Dublin school trying out new no written homework rule




There have been mixed reactions on social media to a Dublin school trying out a new rule where children won’t be given written homework.

All-girl Loreto Primary School in Rathfarnham is trialling out a new ‘no written homework’ rule for a few months, to see the results.

According to school authorities, written homework causes ‘too much stress’ both to pupils and parents, so teachers and the school board agreed to try out something new.

While the girls might not get written homework, they are still encouraged to read and write at home.
