The Gendarmerie (French police) have launched a major search operation today after locals near Disneyland Paris reported sighting a ‘young tiger’ on the loose.
Citizens of the Montevrain locality, about 2 km from the theme park, posted a photography online of what purports to be a ‘big cat’.
A helicopter, the police force, and firefighters armed with tranquilizer guns are out looking for the creature, which some locals have said might be a lynx.
Someone suggested it might have been a tiger escaped from a circus that recently departed the area, but an earlier inspection of the circus had not revealed the presence of such big feline. Disneyland officials were also consulted, but Disneyland does not hold tigers either.
Whatever it is, it’s still out there.
