One half of the Healy-Rae political combo is recovering in hospital this morning, after a terrifying run-in with a bovine yesterday evening.
Harrowing scenes took place in Kerry last night, as Mr. Healy-Rae found himself at the receiving end of an enraged cow while working at a field in the Kingdom.
The animal reportedly entered into a frenzy when the politician approached it and landed a number of well-aimed head nudges and kicks on him.
Mr. Healy-Rae managed to extricate himself from the situation and was promptly evacuated to Cork University Hospital for observation. He is said to be doing well today.
The cow was reportedly unharmed during the episode.
