UK to curb inflow of low and unskilled migrants with new points based immigration system

The United Kingdom will soon close its borders to low and unskilled migrant workers after Brexit negotiations are completed and employers “will need to adjust” a policy statement outlining plans for a new points-based immigration system has revealed.

These changes will cut the number of low and unskilled migrants entering the country but also make it easier for higher-skilled workers to get UK visas and move the British economy away from its reliance on “cheap labour from Europe”

While many online are hailing the move as a victory for the British working-class, whom the majority of voted for Brexit, predictably, some have claimed the move is racist.

However, as artificial intelligence and automation rapidly progress over the coming decades more voices are beginning to question why developed countries in Europe continue to allow large scale immigration of low and unskilled labour from the Third World.
