The mother of one-punch victim Danny McGee has spoken out about her heartbreak over her son’s tragic death.
Speaking to Virgin Media News, Colleen McGee told of how she couldn’t believe it when she heard how her son had died.
21-yr-old Danny McGee, from Longford, tragically died after being punched following a verbal row outside The Gaslight Bar in Queens, New York on Thanksgiving in 2018.
He become unresponsive and was pronounced dead a short time later in hospital.
A 26-yr-old Dubliner was jailed for six months for the one-punch attack.
Colleen McGee said that the fact her son wouldn’t want her to be feeling sad is the reason she keeps going.
The whole case helped advise people to walk away from fights and not to engage.
