Police in the US, have confirmed that a motorcyclist has sadly died after he was struck by lightning whilst travelling along the interstate.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 45-year-old man was tragically killed after he struck by a bolt of lightning whilst he was travelling Interstate 95.
It is believed that the powerful lightning bolt cracked the man’s helmet before he he was sent off the road and crashed his vehicle.
Police say the man who was from North Carolina was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
