Gardaí have revealed that they have charged a motorist for filming a road crash whilst driving.
In a clamp down on motorists taking videos and photo’s of other road traffic incidents, Gardai say the man was charged after he was caught filming the scene of another crash whilst driving.
In a post on Twitter Garda Traffic said: “DMR Roads Policing: Driver stopped for holding a mobile phone
& filming while driving past the scene of a collision in Dublin 8 today.”
“Prosecution to follow#BeSafe”
It is understood the major clamp down comes after footage of a horrific crash which occurred on the M50 was widely shared online.
