World-renowned musician and actor Meat Loaf was taken to hospital after he collapsed on stage last night.
Meat Loaf, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, was performing at a concert in the Edmonton’s Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, when he suddenly fell to the floor. Bandmates rushed to aid him and concert-goers were asked to vacate the arena.
The 68-year-old singer was then taken to hospital in an unknown condition.
Meat Loaf had been forced to cancel two other gigs in recent weeks due to ill health.
The musician is one of the bestselling artists of all time, perhaps best known for his 1977 album ‘Bat out of Hell’ and his performance on the ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ movie.
