“My house should be off bounds” – Simon Harris claims politicians’ homes should be out of bounds after protest outside his house

The Taoiseach said that politicians’ residences ought to be off-limits following an anti-immigration protest that took place nearby, reports Breaking News.

When the demonstrators assembled outside Simon Harris’s home in County Wicklow on Thursday night, he claimed it was time for his two little children to go to bed.

It was the most recent in a string of such recent occurrences involving anti-immigration demonstrations outside the residences of Irish political officials, reports Breaking News.

The Taoiseach was reportedly gone attending a funeral at the time, therefore it is known that he was not at home.

During a Friday visit to Belfast, the leader of Fine Gael was questioned over the event.

“I don’t want to say too much about this and I don’t like describing those sorts of things as protest. I’ve a very clear view in relation to this. Whether it’s me, whether it’s an opposition politician, whether it’s anybody, I always think people’s families and people’s homes should be out of bounds. It was bedtime for my kids last night when this situation arose. I don’t think it’s appropriate,” he said, reports Breaking News.
