Good news for jobseekers this morning, as a brand new €20 million distillery and brewery is to create 80 new jobs in Drogheda, Co. Louth.
The new facility will open next year, and will include a whiskey distillery, a craft brewery and taproom. It is also expected to have a visitor centre with a 120-seater restaurant.
Drogheda once had up to eighteen local distilleries, but by 1822, only one remained.
