New Irish navy vessel to enter service today

A brand new ship has joined the Irish Navy today.

The LE James Joyce, built by Babcock Marine in Devon, UK, will enter active service today.

Minister for Defence Simon Coveney will host the naming and commissioning ceremonies for the ship. Taoiseach Enda Kenny will attend the act.
