New low for RTE pitching a woman “with no scientific degree” as the face of Covid deniers instead of choosing any number of Irish or International qualified medical professionals to give a balanced opinion

This week, The Claire Byrne Show, a prime-time broadcast produced by State funded RTE and watched by millions in Ireland ran a segment about “Covid Deniers” surrounding vaccines and Covid-19 death rates.

Astonishingly, RTE did not seek to interview any number of eminent medical experts available with in Ireland and Internationally who would disagree with the Irish governments handling of Covid-19.

Instead RTE chose to interview a woman named Jean Murray.
Ms Murray is interviewed at length by Claire Byrne who describes Ms Murray as a person who “believes many of these conspiracy theories”.

Ms Murray says she has a business certificate and a hairdressing certificate.
Whilst Claire Byrne said at the beginning of her show that Ms Murray did not believe that Covid exists, it later transpired during the interview that Ms Murray actually believes the Irish government’s response has been excessive.

After interviewing Ms Murray, the audience were then presented with a consultant of Infectious Diseases who is in unison with the government’s narrative.

Whilst Ms Murray was found to be liable and knowledgeable, many are asking why the Claire Byrne Show did not invite medical experts who disagree with the Irish governments handling of Covid-19 onto her show to debate and challenge the doctor that appeared after Ms Murray’s broadcast?
