New study claims that children as young as 12 are being used as drug mules across Dublin

A new study claims that children as young as 12 are being used as drug mules across Dublin’s south inner city.

The report, which was carried out and published by Dr. Johnny Connolly from the University of Limerick Centre for Crime, Justice and Victim Studies, outlines the dealings of two gangs operating in the area. The gangs are said to be grooming young children for the purpose of criminality.

The gangs reportedly cultivate an image of ‘admiration’ for their leaders, so children are encouraged to imitate their perceived ‘success’.
