Ireland’s newest TV channel, UTV Ireland, is due to begin broadcasting later today.
The channel will commence transmission at 7.25pm tonight with a short programme, ‘Welcome to UTV Ireland’, followed by an hour long episode of Emmerdale, and a documentary piece hosted by Pat Kenny.
UTV Ireland will become the new home for Emmerdale and Coronation Street, as well as The Graham Norton Show.
The new station avails of facilities in Cork 96FM’s Wellington Road base, and will carry the new 20-second spot created by the digital agency Simply Zesty.
