22 families are celebrating a gigantic win in the Euromillions this past weekend when their numbers were called and their syndicate got the “green light” to collect the crazy sum of cash.
Driver Steven Cox said: “When we came in this morning we were all told that Dublin Bus drivers had won and they were from Broadstone garage.
“I would know them all really well.”
“I don’t know if there’s any big celebration but we’ve been told most of them are coming in on Monday.”
“I suppose they haven’t got the cheque yet too so unless there’s been a celebration they’ll be in I’d say.
“Everybody’s thrilled and they’re a great bunch of lads.”
Another driver John Dillon said something along the same lines, as he said: “Good luck to them, it’s great that 22 people got it rather than just one.”
Former Dublin Lord Mayor Christy Burke wished the drivers well and said he was delighted to hear the good news.
