No travel beyond 5km or outdoor meeting with people until at least May under new government plan

They’re really sticking it to the Irish people at this stage.

The government were told by NPHET on Thursday evening that restrictions should stay in place for now.

A proposed new plan has been put on the table that will see us locked down until May with full travel restrictions of just 5km in place for the entire country along with no one allowed meet people even outside in the good weather.

It’s understood that the cabinet committee meeting will decide on these new measures in the coming days with the Taoiseach announcing Thursday night that full Level 5 lockdown will remain until at least the start of May.

Schools and construction are the only two sectors which will be allowed back to normal with speculation that other sectors will still not be allowed reopen even in May.
