Attention wine lovers one of the biggest supermarket chains in the country ALDI have put an end to recent speculation to whether or not they would be selling wine online, and sadly its a resounding no 🙁 for now.

The German giant discount supermarket chain confirmed the news recently after early reports claimed that the supermarket was considering introducing the service in Ireland early next year. However a spokesman for the company went on the record to say  the rumors are “completely inaccurate and without foundation.”

The move was expected here after the chain announced its plan to its customers in the UK that they will be able to avail of wine delivery to their door by early 2016. It is understood the company will introduce its service in the UK in 2016 and will sell wine by the box, with some limited edition bottles available online only.

Ah well i guess we will still have to go to the supermarket to purchase a bottle of plonk.
