Northern Irish man to appear in court today in relation to 39 people found dead in lorry in Essex




A 23-yr-old man has been charged with human trafficking offences after the bodies of 39 people were found in a refrigerated lorry container in Essex causing international outrage.

Police arrested Christopher Kennedy in the early hours of Friday morning.

It’s understood that Mr Kennedy is from Darkley in Co Armagh with Sky reporting that he has been charged with conspiracy to arrange or facilitate the travel of people with a view to exploitation, and conspiracy to facilitate the commission of a breach of UK immigration law.

Essex Police have announced that he is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court this morning.
