Over 500 people turned up to a meeting in Galway on Wednesday evening to try and stop a local hotel turning into a direct provision centre for mostly male migrants.
It’s understood that the Oughterard residents have requested that the Department of Justice clarify its reported plans for the Connemara Gateway Hotel.
It’s believed that residents were not consolidated in the slightest in regards to untold numbers of migrants invading their area thanks for Leo Varadkar, Simon Harris and Simon Coveney.
Although no official proposals have been outlined, it is believed that the department of justice is considering a refurbishment of the 60 room hotel.
