The national public health emergency team (NPHET) has recommended that people visiting nightclubs, bars and restaurants be tested for antigens twice a week.
NHPET says it would cover people engaging in high-risk activities with multi-home activities.
Holohan’s team recommend self-testing of antigen tests at least twice a week.
NPHET also recommends expanding the use of Covid certificates to other areas outside of the hospitality industry.
It should be understood that the NPHET does not specify where certificates might be used and any extension may require new legislation.
