Are you one in 50?
Dublin Dollar Millionaires, that is. According to a recent study, more than one in 50 Dubliners is an individual with net assets of $1 million or more – and that figure doesn’t take into account their primary residence.
As a city, we’ve got more millionaires than San Francisco, Paris, Toronto and Brussels. But we’re not yet up there with Monaco which – unsurprisingly – tops the list which was prepared by Spear’s magazine and consultancy company WealthInsight.
Despite the fact that this report has to be seen as good news for those hoping for a return to prosperity in Ireland, it also points to an increase in the gap between rich and poor based on recent reports of a homeless crisis in the city.
