The Dublin Homeless Regional Executive has confirmed that one of the city’s biggest hostels is to close in the coming days.
In an announcement the DHRE confirmed that Brú Aimsir on Dublin’s Thomas Street will close its doors in the coming days.
It is believed that the accommodation will close after the DHRE failed to renegotiate a contract with the property holder.
However thankfully the DHRE say alternative accommodation has been secured for all 105 residents at the hostel.
They added that the hostel was never intended to be a permanent hostel despite being open since 2015.
