One supermarket worker was killed, and two others injured, after a disgruntled customer opened fire following a dispute about face masks.

The shocking incident happened at the Big Bear Supermarket in Decatur, DeKalb County, Georgia, US, on Monday afternoon (local time.)

It is understood that the customer, identified as 30-year-old Victor Lee Tucker Jr., became argumentative when a cashier challenged him about face-mask wearing. He reportedly left the shop without buying anything, but returned a short time later. He produced a gun and shot the cashier dead.

A firefight with security staff ensued. He was shot but survived, and was promptly arrested.
