Ooh Ah Up the Charts! Celtic Symphony rockets to No.1 and No.3 in Ireland and UK after Irish Women’s football team recorded singing song

The outrage and pearl clutching over the Irish women’s football singing Celtic Symphony, which includes a rousing chorus of “Ooh Ah Up the RA” has backfired and iTunes have now reported that the song is now No.1 in Ireland downloads and incredibly No.3 in the UK.

The victorious cailíní were recorded singing and dancing in immediate aftermath of their victory over Scotland which sealed their place in the upcoming women’s UEFA football world cup next year in Australia and New Zealand.

The Republic of Ireland Women’s manager, Vera Pauw was forced to apologise for her players singing the song which references the IRA after securing their place at the 2023 World Cup on Tuesday.

Irish people were left gobsmacked however, when the English presenter on Sky Sports suggested that the Irish ladies need more “education on the topic”.

Irish people were quick to vent their amazement at the statement on social media, with many noting that the average Irish primary school child has a better education in Irish history and Irish-British relations than the average English adult.

Now, the song ‘Celtic Symphony’ has rocked up the iTunes downloads charts with YouTube also recording massive, renewed interest the Wolfetones classic from Ireland, the UK and around the world.
