A Status Orange warning is now in place for three counties as weather conditions deteriorate further.
The warning, which covers counties Waterford, Wexford, and Wicklow will be in place until 8am on Thursday.
Met Eireann says that heavy rain will cause hazardous weather conditions and might lead to localized flooding overnight.
