Over a thousand Ukrainians face being forced out of hotels that are owed millions in payment for their bed and board – Irish taxpayer will foot the bill as usual

Over one thousand Ukrainian refugees face eviction from Irish hotels which are owed millions of euros in payment by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.

Tens of thousands of Ukrainian refugees continue to be housed in Irish hotels crippling the Irish tourist industry but also inflicting a multi-million-euro monthly drain on the Irish taxpayer.

The Irish Mirror reported that the Department of Children is increase staff in its accounts section but hoped to have outstanding payments for accommodation paid as quickly as possible as some hoteliers admit having to borrow money to keep operating.

Meanwhile, the government is building modular housing, earmarked only for Ukrainians and even redirecting some social housing projects designed for Irish people to house Ukrainians.

As the government ramps up the plantations of Ukrainian and Third World refugees throughout the country popular resistance is gaining traction, particularly in rural towns and villages where Irish citizens are frustrated to the point where they no longer fear being condemned as “racist” by the media.
