Little Cassian Coates has been diagnosed with coronavirus off his symptoms after he had a slight fever and his mother became concerned.

Myroslava Coates and her husband Callum told Sky News that they are now self-isolating with him at their home in Manchester.

Cassian’s mother said he had a fever but did not have a cough and that she and her husband are fine, so they were surprised when they diagnosed Cassian.

Cassian had been out of sorts for a couple of days, so they took him to the doctor. He already had a lung infection, so they already had an appointment with their doctor.

When they got there, he underwent some basic tests such as temperature and chest and they swiftly diagnosed coronavirus from his symptoms but didn’t perform a test. Doctors said they were convinced the little boy has covid-19 from his symptoms but did not perform a test.

The family were told to go home and to self-isolate for two weeks and keep giving their baby Calpol as if it was just a cold.

Given his age, doctors say he’ll thankfully make a full recovery but parents are advised to watch out for symtpoms.
