The Gardai have launched a major investigation after a mother reported that two men attempted to kidnap her two-year-old daughter in broad daylight.
Dublin Live reported that terrifying incident took place in Donomore Green, Tallaght when two men approached her toddler and tried to force her into their car before the distraught mother intervened to save the child from a fate to horrible to imagine.
Speaking to Dublin Live, the heroic mother said:
“My infant was nearly taken on Wednesday morning, at the end of my hill near my house. She is just two-years-old.”
Reporting of incidents like this have increased in recent months and years in Ireland, with strange men attempting to bundle Irish children into vehicles yet so far the Gardai have not made an high profile arrests in such cases.
