Gardaí in Balbriggan have issued a stern warning to people in the area and surrounding area after they’ve launched an investigation following two alleged attempted abductions of not one but two very small children.
It is understood the investigation comes after the two small children were approached near Gaelscoil Baile Brigín National School over a six day period by two women. It’s believed that the women were both in their 30s.
According to Dublin Live, the first text said: “Gardai have been informed regarding an incident this morning whereby a car with two women stopped a student and tried to get the student into the vehicle.”
While a second text message sent on September 17 said the a child was approached near the AIB in the area.
It’s understood that Gaelscoil Baile Brigín added: “We would ask all parents to discuss safety around this with your children. Teachers will also cover this topic in the school.”
Gardai say that they’ve launched an investigation and have warned children, but especially parents to be extremely vigilant of their children going to and from school and when out playing by themselves. They’ve asked people to share this information with their friends who have children and those living in the Dublin area.
