Tens of thousands of residents around Drogheda and Meath are losing patience fast, as they are forced to endure a third day without water.
A burst main pipe is responsible for the problem. The actual pipe is reportedly so old that all attempts at repairing it have so far failed, with the blame landing squarely at Irish Water’s feet.
The institution, which has so far abjectly failed in everything it has attempted, is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the network.
Water dispensing points have been setup, where people can collect water from tankers, but both residents and businesses are reportedly losing patience fast.
