Traveller group Pavee Point have made their voices heard loud and clear over the past day how angered they are with a joke traveller video that a garda and a fireman made in effort to raise money for a white collar charity boxing match.
Speaking on Monday night’s Claire Byrne Live, Martin Collins of traveller group ‘Pavee Point’ was thrilled that Garda Commissioner Drew Harris had suspended the garda who appeared in a skit video taking off traveller videos. News also broke that Dublin Fire Brigade have suspended the fireman who appeared in the other video ‘calling out’ the garda in question.
Pavee Point’s Martin Collins claimed that there still is a racism problem in the gardai towards travellers and that something needs to be done for gardai to be taught not to be racist in templemore when they’re in garda training college.
