A pedestrian has sadly lost his life after being hit by a car in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The accident happened N2 dual carriageway, near Finglas, at approximately 3am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a 50-year-old man, was not injured in the collision.
The stretch of road is currently closed, but expected to reopen shortly.
