People are not happy that their child’s Nativity play gets cancelled but thousands of people have been packed into the Aviva for the rugby

People are furious at their child’s Nativity play not going ahead because the government are dictating what is and isn’t allowed take place.

People have been comparing thousands of people being packed into the Aviva Stadium just two weeks ago for Ireland vs Argentina, yet less than 20 kids can’t participate in a safe environment for a Nativity play.

Social media users have been pointing out the utter hypocrisy of the Irish government by allowing thousands of people pack into sporting stadiums around the country, but are aiming to deprive small children of beloved pantomimes and Nativity Plays around the country.

Ireland’s Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has announced that the Christmas children’s special outing, the panto, can go ahead… but that children shouldn’t go, no seriously.

Donnelly said that ultimately it’s about keeping children safe and that the advice is for pantos to go ahead but for children to not go to them.

Many people on social media are claiming that it’s just another example of the utterly ludicrous decisions being made by the “incompetent government”.

It would make one wonder just who would bother going to a pantomime if you weren’t a child, hadn’t a child to go with or were working on it.
