The results of a mobile phone usage analysis has found that people in mobile-first markets are spending nearly one-third of their waking hours on their phones.
According to RTE, analytics firm App Annie, determined that the average user spends 4 hours and 48 minutes using their mobile phones every day, an increase of 30% since 2019.
Ireland was not included in the survey which determined that Brazil, Indonesia and South Korea have the highest usage, or more that 5 hours on average on mobile apps.
The popularity of mobile app downloads continues and TikTok was the app that most people downloaded in 2021. This trend continued with Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Telegram in that order.
