People power – Government scrap plans to establish new migrant centre in Wexford

In an encouraging win for the Irish people, government plans to establish yet another migrant centre, this time at St Therese’s B&B in Mount Alexander near Gorey, Co. Wexford have been scrapped after local opposition.

Fianna Fáil Senator Malcolm Byrne confirmed the decision to shelve the plans to house up 50 migrants at the former B&B on Wednesday issuing the following statement:

“I can now confirm that St Therese’s B&B is no longer being considered for direct provision accommodation,” he said. “I raised a number of very legitimate concerns of local residents. I have been informed, however, that does not mean that it could not be considered again in the future, however, should concerns be addressed, including around sewerage and transport. I can confirm that this property is not under active consideration by DCEDIY at this time. Should anything change in this respect I will ensure that you are notified.”

Despite government intimidation, media smearing and the activism of taxpayer funder NGOs, resistance to the establishment of migrant plantations as well as existing migrant accommodation centres continues to persist across the country.

Concerns over safety as well as pressure on services and housing resources have been at the forefront of the minds of concerned Irish citizens protesting the open boarders agenda but even deeper concerns relate the massive demographic change that open borders policies will ultimately lead to, will be a fundamental change in the character and culture of Ireland, forever.
