A pharmacist, accused of deliberately wasting nearly 600 doses of the moderna COVID-19 vaccine at a clinic in Grafton in the US State of Wisconsin, first appeared in Ozaukee County Court on Monday.
He was later released from Ozaukee County Jail on a $10,000 bail.
Steven Brandenburg is the pharmacist accused of deliberately wasting vaccine bottles at Grafton Aurora Medical Centre on two separate occasions.
Brandenburg was arrested by the Grafton police on probable causes. In his explanation of the likely cause, Brandenburg took the box of vaccine out of a refrigerator and left it outside for 12 hours, rendering it unusable.
Brandenburg told investigators that he believed the vaccine was not safe for people and that it would damage them and “alter their DNA,” according to local news outlets.
Medical professionals have said that they’ve found that COVID mRNA vaccines do not alter a person’s DNA. The trial continues.
