The National Ploughing Association have confirmed that this year’s championships will be extended by a further day due to adverse weather conditions caused by Storm Ali.
In an announcement the NPA say the National Ploughing Championships will be extended until Friday following the cancellation of all events in Wednesday.
The NPA say the event will run until Friday evening and that all wristbands allocated for Wednesday will be accepted on Friday.
The welcome news comes as the second day of the Championships was abruptly called off on Wednesday morning in the interest of safety.
