The country is currently having somewhat of a clean-up after Storm Ali battered the country on Wednesday, but the outlook for the next few days is not looking promising as temperatures are expected to cooler heading in the weekend.

According to latest weather charts many of us will be dusting off the anorak as temperatures are not expected surge over the coming days.

Although Met Eireann say Storm Ali has cleared Ireland, there will be some strong gusts on Thursday as well as heavy showers throughout the day with temperatures reaching no more than 14C.

The winter feeling is expected to stay on Friday as temperatures will remain relatively the same although winds are expected to ease over the next 24 hours.

In announcement made on their website Met Eireann said the following: “Outbreaks of rain will affect much of the country through the afternoon and evening. The rain will be heavy and persistent in Munster and South Leinster, with a risk of spot flooding, but tending more intermittent in nature elsewhere.”

“Top temperatures just 11 to 14 degrees.”
