Politicians are demanding answers tonight after the Met Police clashed with protesters who attended a vigil for Sarah Everard on Saturday night in London.
The police officer charged in connection with the death of Sarah Everard is appeared in court earlier today charged with her murder.
PC Wayne Couzens has been charged with kidnapping and murdering Ms. Everard, who vanished after visiting a friend on March 3.
Her remains were found in woodland seven days later.
A vigil was originally cancelled but tonight it went ahead anyway with hundreds turning up. Police got heavy-handed to try and disperse the crowd with politicians demanding answers as to why this happened.
