Police find man seen talking to missing Karen Buckley




A man who was being sought during the investigation into the disappearance of Cork woman, Karen Buckley, has been found and is assisting police with their inquires in Glagow.

Ms Buckley was last seen on CCTV in the early hours of Sunday morning, talking to a man outside the Sanctuary nightclub in Dumbarton Road in the city.

The family of the missing student have flown to Scotland.

Specialist units have been used in the search after police issued an urgent appeal to find the missing student.

According to the initial police appeal:

“After having drinks in their flat on Saturday 11 April 2015, Karen and her friends left and went to Sanctuary nightclub in Dumbarton Road, Partick, arriving at 11.45pm.11154902_1379672875694313_874552565908245398_o.jpg

“At 1am, Karen told friends that she was going to the toilet, but didn’t return. Karen did not pick up her jacket.”

“She was then seen on CCTV outside on Dumbarton Road talking to a male, who police are keen to speak to.”

According to media outlets in Scotland this morning, police have found the man in question and he is helping in their investigation.

Police in Scotland have been unable to confirm reports this morning that a second man seen on CCTV is being sought in relation to the woman’s disappearance.

Ms Buckley is a student at Glasgow Caledonian University and lives with three other student friends in a flat in Hill Street in the city.

Police Officers have appealed for anyone who sees Karen to get in contact on the non-emergency number ’101′.
